AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH SERVICE (ARS) / NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST (NET)EXAMINATION-2007

Agricultural Scientists’ Recruitment Board (ASRB) will hold on 6th April, 2008, a Competitive ARS / NET Examination – 2007 for filling up the 283 vacancies of Scientists in Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in the pay scale of Rs. 8000 -13500 in the ICAR Institutes, combined with National Eligibility Test (NET) for determining eligibility for recruitment of Lecturers and Assistant Professors by the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs).

Age :

• ARS : A candidate seeking admission to the Agricultural Research Service must have
  attained the age of 21 years but not have attained the age of 30 years as on 1st January, 2008 .
• NET : A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years as on 1st January, 2008. There
  will be no upper age limit for the National Eligibility Test.

Qualification (for both ARS and NET) : A candidate must have a Master's degree or equivalent in the concerned subject.

Fee : The candidates seeking admission to examination must pay to the Board a fee ofnRs. 400/- (Rs. Four Hundred only) through a Crossed Bank Draft only, valid for six months from the date of issue, drawn in favour of Secretary, A.S.R.B. and payable at New Delhi with the application form. Candidates should write their name and address on the reverse of the Bank Draft in the top corner at the time of submission of application. No fee from SC/ST candidates.

Age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Serviceman/PH candidates as per rules.

Fee : Rs.50/- in the form of IPO drawn in favour of Director, NRC on Yak payable at the post office of Dirang. Sc/ST/PH candidates are exempted from the fee.
