Become a Permanent Commissioned Officer in 10+2 (Technical) Cadet Entry Scheme Course Commencing - January 2010

Every year, the Indian Navy selects young and bright, unmarried Male Indian Citizens to join the prestigious Naval Academy at Azhimala, Kerala under 10+2 (Technical) Cadet Entry Scheme.

Eligibility Conditions:

Age : Between 16-1/2 to 19 years (candidates to be born between 02 January 1991 to 01 July 1993 both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualifications : Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent from University/Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in english either in class X or class XII.

Physical Standards : Hight and Wieght : Minimum height Male - 157 cms, with correlated weight. Eye Sight - The minimum acceptable standard for distant vision 6/12, 6/12 correctable to 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.

Selection of Trainee Navigating Officer Cadets (TNOCs) - Feb 2009

Shipping Corporation offers Pre-Sea Training at our Maritime Training Institute, Mumbai followed by Shipboard Training as TRAINEE NAVIGATING OFFICER CADETS (TNOCs) to Unmarried Male & Female candidates Under the Indira Gandhi National Open University – Directorate General of Shipping (IGNOU-DGS) Project leading to B.Sc. (Nautical Science).

The All India Common Entrance Examination is proposed to be held by IGNOU on 30th November 2008. The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. proposes to select around 80 TNOCs for its February 2009 Batch.

Qualification : Pass in 10+2 examination from a recognised Board/University with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), with not less than 55% marks in PCM. OR Appearing in 10 + 2 from recognised Board / University with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subject to the condition that they do not score less than 55% marks in PCM after the declaration of result. OR With Physics as an individual subject in any one of the years of B. Sc with not less than 50% marks in the final year of B.Sc. from a recognized University provided that the candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) with not less than 55% marks in PCM from a recognized Board. OR B.E./B.Tech. or its equivalent degree from I.I.T or from a college recognized by AICTE/UGC/DEC. and Should have passed with not less than 50% marks in English as a separate subject, at either 10th or 12th standard or in the Degree programme conducted by a recognised Board/University.
