The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (NDA) (I), 2016 on 17th April, 2016 for admission to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy and Air force Academy :
Vacancies :375 posts
  1. National Defence Academy : 320 posts (208 for Army, 42 for Navy and 70 for Air Force)
  2. Indian Naval Academy (10+2 cadet entry scheme) : 55 posts
Conditions of Eligibility

(A) Age Limits : Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than  02nd  July, 1997  and not
later than 1st July, 2000 are eligible.
    (B) Educational Qualifications:
    1. For  Army  Wing  of  National  Defence  Academy :  12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. 
    2. For  Air  Force  and  Naval  Wings  of  National  Defence  Academy  and  for the  10+2  Cadet  Entry  Scheme  at  the  Indian  Naval  Academy : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or  a University. 
    3. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of  School  Education  or  equivalent  examination  can  also   apply  for  this examination.

    Educational Qualifications : (a) A Graduate Degree in any discipline with minimum aggregate of 60% marks with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects at 10+2 level.  (b) for CPL - Graduation with 60% marks with Physics and Maths at 10+2 level and having current CPL issuesd by DGCA.

    Conditions of Eligibility


    (A) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status:

    1. For Indian Millitary Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January 1992 only are eligible.
    2. For Naval Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1989 (2nd January, 1987 in case of NCC Naval wing 'C' certificate holders) and not later than 1st January 1992 only are eligible.
    3. For Air Force Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st January 1992 only are eligible.
    4. For Officers' Training Academy - (SSC Course for Men) : Male candidates (Unmarried or Married) born not earlier than 2nd January, 1986 and not later than 1st January 1992 only are eligible.
    5. For Officers Training Academy - SSC (Women Non- Technical) Course :  (a) Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried, and issueless divercees (in possession of diveorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been not earlier than 2nd January, 1986 and not later than 1st January, 1992.
    (B) Educational Qualifications:
    1. For Indian Millitary Academy and Officers' Training Academy : Degree of a recognised university or equivalent.
    2. For Naval Academy : B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics ) or Bachelor of Engineering.
    3. For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering
    4. Candidates who are studying in final year Degree Course and yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for the Examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing the Degree Examination or equivalent examination by the specified dates.
    (C) Physical Standards: candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (I), 2010 as prescribed in the detailed advertisement.

    Application form: The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the commission for its examination, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/-.

    Fee : Rs. 100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees. OBC candidates are required to pay full fees.

    National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2009

    The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the NDA and Naval Academy Examination, 2008 on 19th April, 2009 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wing of the NDA for the 121st Course and Naval Academy for the 41st 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course commencing from December 2009. Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible,
    Eligibility:
    • Age : 16 and half to 19 years as on 01/01/2010.
    • Educational Qualificatio
      • for Army : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
      • For Air Force, Navy and Naval Academy : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University with Physics and Mathematics subjects
    • Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.
